 Disadvantages or Limitation of ICT

1.Expensive or Costly:-

    The important drawback to using ICT in schools is the fact that computers, laptops, projectors, screens, Digital blackboard and so on electric aids are expensive and costly.

2. Required Trained and Professional Teachers:-

     Due to the lack of training to the teachers in ICT, its use is very restricted in schools. It required trained and professional Teacher to use the tools of ICT the use of ICT can be ensured by preparing the teachers at their training stage.

3.Rigid Nature:-

    Teachers also don’t want to change their traditional methods & systems. They like to be tied with the old system.

4. Addiction and time waster:-

     Surfing and playing games on the Internet can quickly become very addictive. Doing so can lead to spend a lot of time on the internet, instead of doing something productive.

5. Identity theft, hacking, viruses and cheating:-

    The internet also enables students to cheat on their studies, or find others on the internet to do their homework. Internet connects all computers to each other, so hackers can millions of computers and quickly identify what computers are vulnerable to attack. (privacy)

6. Little or no face to face interaction:-

    In ICT, specially in online Learning, there is very less face-to-face interaction blvo learner and teacher. So many doubts are created in online class.

7. Depression, Loneliness and social isolation:-

   Social networking sites can also lead to depression as many people tend to compare their lives with others. The internet and online, games facilitate communication with others. Although you may find new connections around the world, you may also find yourself disconnecting from in your real life.

8. Health issues and obesity:-

   Spending too much time on the computer surfing the internet or playing games can also lead to obesity and an unhealthy lifestyle.

9. Buying thing that you don’t need:-

   Many times we take such online courses that we do not need. Or told you got something else! Not a good teacher or not good notes. Teacher left in the middle.

10. Pornography, frauds, etc..
